Ningbo terminal shut due to Covid-19 outbreak

UniOcean are receiving reports that Ningbo’s Meishan Container Terminal is closed following the detection of a single case of Covid-19 among the port’s workforce.
The closure began on Wednesday 11th August, which could lead to call delays at Ningbo, or some vessels omitting the port altogether.
While the Chinese government carries out widespread testing, the disruption is likely to have a knock-on effect on schedules in the coming days.
A full port shut-down for quarantine and inspection is not out of the question at this stage. UniOcean continues to work closely with our network in China to monitor the situation.
