More US China Tariffs Expected

by | Oct 31, 2018

Accordingly to Bloomberg and a report by economists Citigroup, the next round of duty tariffs to be applied by President Trump are likely to be the costliest yet for US consumers.

The report suggests that the US are preparing to announce further tariff increases as early as December, as the trade war with China continues to rage.

The new tariffs, which could be effective in February, are rumoured to be targeting Chinese-made consumer goods, such as iPhones and branded sports shoes, that have previously been untouched.

The impact of a 10 percent tariff on $267 billion imports could be multiple times larger to consumers than the previously targeted products.
