Daily Ocean News Bulletin – 8th April

Your daily update for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway Ports, with the latest news on road and weather conditions, port turnaround times and vessel arrivals.

Felixstowe Port

Road – One lane closed and slow traffic due to stalled truck on A14 Westbound before J58 / A12 / A1156 / Bucklesham (Seven Hills). Speed restriction of 40 mph due to strong winds on A14 Orwell Bridge between J57 / A1189 (Nacton Interchange) and J56 / A137 (Wherstead Interchange). Slow traffic on A428 Cambridge Road Eastbound from Abbotsley Road to A1198 Ermine Street South (Caxton Gibbet roundabout). Road closed and queueing traffic due to serious police incident on A14 both ways at J18 (Spaldwick). Congestion to J17 (Leighton Bromswold) eastbound, short queues westbound. Detour in operation – via the exit and entry slip roads. Delays on A14 Eastbound between B663 Toll Bar Lane (Keyston / Bythorn) and Staunch Hill (Leighton Bromswold). Slow traffic on A12 Northbound from J30 B1029 (Stratford St Mary / Dedham) to J32A (Capel St Mary). Traffic congestion on A12 Northbound from J27 A133 Cymbeline Way (Avenue Of Remembrance Roundabout) to J28 A1341 (Colchester United Football Ground).

Port – Due to the high winds yesterday the port and depots are fully operational again, however some delays may be expected as the back log is dealt with.

Vessel – Monaco Maersk (Working), Perseus (Working), Pirita (Working), MSC London (Working), CMA CGM Neva (Working), Cosco Shipping Pisces (Inbound), Northern Justice (Inbound), Rumba (Inbound), Maersk Kotka (Inbound), MSC Everest (Inbound), Eleonora Maersk (Inbound), Meandi (Inbound), MSC Sarah (Inbound), Ever Glory (Inbound), MSC Bari (Inbound).

Southampton Port

Road – No issues to report.

Port – Due to the high winds yesterday the port and depots are fully operational again, however some delays may be expected as the back log is dealt with. Further operational information can be found here.

Vessel – HMM Daon (Working), CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin (Working), AS Petronia (Working), Navarino (Inbound), Cape Pioneer (Cancelled), Cosco Philippines (Cancelled), AL Dahna Express (Inbound), CMA CGM Tosca (Inbound), Eli A (Inbound), AL Safat (Inbound), APL Lion City (Inbound), Helmut (Inbound), JSP Slidur (Inbound), BF Fortaleza (Inbound), NYK Romulus (Inbound), Quebec Express (Inbound).

London Gateway Port

Road  Delays on M25 anticlockwise between J27 M11 J6 and J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield). Queueing traffic for seven miles due to earlier stalled vehicle on M25 anticlockwise after J25 / A10 (Enfield). Congestion to the Bell Common Tunnel, back past J26 (Waltham Abbey). Road closed due to the motorway being used to hold lorries heading for the channel crossings on M20 coastbound between J8 (Leeds Castle / Maidstone Services) and J11 (Hythe / Westenhanger). Detour in operation – local traffic as well as Eurotunnel cars and hold. Delays on M20 Eastbound between J10 A2070 (Ashford South) and J11 A20 (Hythe / Westenhanger). Severe delays on M20 Eastbound between M20 and J10 A2070 (Ashford South). Severe delays on M20 Eastbound in Kent. Delays on M20 Eastbound in Kent. Delays on M20 Eastbound between J6 A229 (Maidstone / Blue Bell Hill) and J8 A20 Ashford Road (Leeds Castle / Maidstone Services).
