Your daily update for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway Ports, with the latest news on road and weather conditions, port turnaround times and vessel arrivals.

Felixstowe Port

Road – A14 – Inbound traffic at Ipswich Copdock (J55).

Port – Currently experiencing average turnaround times, however, yesterday late afternoon VBS’ were removed between 19:00 and 20:00, no explanation given.

Vessel – GSL Kalliopi (Working), Titan (Working), Manila Maersk (Working), CMA CGM Lamartine (Working), Maersk Edmonton (Inbound), Vaga Maersk (Inbound), MSC Lausanne (Inbound), OOCL United Kingdom (Inbound), Songa Puma (Inbound).

Weather – No issues reported at present.

Southampton Port

Road – Various roadworks taking place on the M27 around Southampton, as follows:- M27 J3 leading to M271, M27 between J4 and J5, furthermore, heavy traffic also noted between J7 and J9 of M27.

Vessel – Al Muraykh (Working), CMA CGM Bougainville (Working), KOI (Inbound), MOL Emissary (Inbound), Spica J (Inbound), OOCL Montreal (Inbound), Angela (Cancelled), Bjorg (Inbound), Malik Al Ashtar (Inbound).

Weather – No issues at present, however, heavy rain expected to start around 19:00 this evening, lasting until around 05:00.

London Gateway Port

Road  Heavy traffic noted across the M25 as follows:- J28 and 27, Roadworks between J26 and J25, Accident between J1A and J3, traffic between J16 and J15, a second accident has occurred between J13 and J10. M4 outbound lane closed between J3 and 4B. Heavy traffic on A1(M) by Stevenage J6 and J8 due to roadworks, accident between J9 and J8 of A1(M). Heavy traffic between J7 and J11A of M1.

Port – Average turnaround times on London Gateway, However, 32 Berth in Tilbury is currently experiencing approx. 1 hour delays due to volumes of empties arriving at this location. Further operational information can be found here. YML currently still closed in London Gateway for empty 40HC, they have also advised that there is extremely limited space for 20DV and 40DV containers, they expect the situation to change once ONE COLUMBA departs LGW, however, this wont happen until 26/10/2021 @ 06:00. They are offering alternative restitution points in Seaforth Liverpool and Southampton, however, this may not be feasible.

Vessel – Estelle Maersk (Working), YM Wellspring (Working), CMA CGM America (Inbound), MSC Sofia Celeste (Inbound), MSC Sofia Paz (Cancelled), Agamemnon (Cancelled), APL Detroit (Inbound), Budapest Express (Inbound), Athens Glory (Inbound), MSC Sarah (Inbound), Cosco Shipping Volga (Inbound).

Weather – No issues at present, however, heavy rain expected between 23:59 and 05:00.
