Daily Ocean News Bulletin – 18th January

Your daily update for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway Ports, with the latest news on road and weather conditions, port turnaround times and vessel arrivals.

Felixstowe Port

Road  Slow traffic on A142 Ely Road Southbound before Elean Business Park. Usual slow traffic on Trumpington Road and Hauxton Road Northbound from M11 J11 and Trumpington to the centre of Cambridge. Very slow traffic on A421 Great Barford Bypass Eastbound before A1 Great North Road (Black Cat Roundabout). Very slow traffic on A1 Great North Road Southbound at A421 Bedford Road (Black Cat Roundabout). Slow traffic and traffic heavier than normal on A120 both ways from A131 (Marks Farm Roundabout, Braintree) to West Street (Coggeshall). Heavy traffic on A127 Southend Arterial Road Westbound before A1245 (Fairglen Interchange).

Southampton Port

Road – Traffic easing on Burgess Road around A33 The Avenue. One lane blocked due to burst water main on A31 Westbound between Stoney Cross (Stoney Cross) and Picket Post services (Picket Post). M3 Northbound lane re-opened on exit slip road, broken down lorry removed at J11 A3090 (Winchester South). Usual delays on A32 Fareham Road between Gosport and Fareham. Heavy traffic on A27 Chichester Bypass Eastbound from Fishbourne Roundabout to Portfield Roundabout. 

Port – Port fully operational but have no VBS Bookings until 17:00 Hours this afternoon, this may cause delays to inbound and out bound traffic. Further operational information can be found here.

Vessel – ONE Triumph (Working), Hanni (Complete), CMA CGM Constanza (Working), APL Singapura (Arrived), Aurora (Arrived), Independent Horizon (Inbound), HMM Mir (Inbound), OOCL Montreal (Inbound).

Weather – No issues to report.

London Gateway Port

Road – Delays on M25 anticlockwise at the Dartford Tunnels. Long delays due to earlier broken down vehicle on M25 clockwise between J5 M26 / A21 (Sevenoaks) and J6 A22 (Godstone), Congestion to three miles before J5 M26, and for three miles back along the M26. Buses run instead of trains on Southern between Oxted and East Grinstead due to landslip. A217 Reigate Hill Southbound busy but moving from M25 J8 to the one-way system. All lanes open, broken-down vehicle removed on M3 Southbound between J2 M25 J12 and J3 A322 (Lightwater / Bagshot). Heavy traffic on M25 clockwise before J15 M4. Slow traffic on M25 anticlockwise between J17 A412 Denham Way (Maple Cross) and J16 M40. Queueing traffic on A41 Southbound at M25 J20. Delays on M25 anticlockwise between J21 M1 and J15 M4. Traffic returned to normal on A10 Great Cambridge Road Southbound before M25 J25. Queueing traffic on A121 Woodridden Hill between A104 Epping New Road / B1393 / B172 (Wake Arms Roundabout) and M25 J26.
