Daily Ocean News Bulletin – 13th April

Road – Slow traffic on A428 Cambridge Road Eastbound from Abbotsley Road to A1198 Ermine Street South (Caxton Gibbet roundabout). Road blocked, long delays and queueing traffic for two miles due to spillage of gravel on M11 Northbound at J11 / A10 / A1309 (Cambridge South / Harston). Detour in operation – via the exit and entry slip roads, up and over J11.    

Port – Port is operating well today. No issues to report.

Weather – No issues to report.

Road – Restrictions due to major Smart Motorway Upgrade on M27 both ways between J4 (M3 Interchange) and J11 A27 (Fareham / Gosport). Four lanes are now operating between these junctions with a fixed 60mph limit in place whilst testing happens. Queueing traffic on A32 Fareham Road Northbound at Wych Lane. Lane closed on exit ramp due to stalled vehicle on M3 Southbound at J3 A322 (Lightwater / Bagshot).

Port – Yesterday the port was experiencing delays of around 3 hours due to sheer volume, however this morning it has recovered and working very well. Further operational information can be found here.

Road – Traffic congestion on A127 London bound between Childerditch Lane and M25 J29 (Romford / Basildon). Delays on M25 clockwise between J29 A127 Southend Arterial Road (Romford / Basildon) and A282. Slow traffic on M25 clockwise from J30 / A13 (Lakeside / Purfleet) to the QE2 Bridge. Severe delays on M25 clockwise between J4 (Orpington) and Broomlands Lane (Clacket Lane Services). One lane closed and queueing traffic due to stalled car on M25 clockwise between J5 / M26 / A21 (Sevenoaks) and (Clacket Lane Services). Moved to a layby, but lane one (of four) is still closed for now. Slow traffic on M25 clockwise between (Clacket Lane Services) and J6 A22 (Godstone). One lane closed due to stalled vehicle on M23 Northbound between J9 (Gatwick Airport) and J8 M25 J7. Traffic is coping well. Lane one (of four) is closed. Delays on M25 anticlockwise between J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey) and M25 (Cobham Services). Delays on M25 anticlockwise between J14 A3113 Airport Way (Heathrow) and J11 A320 St Peters Way (Chertsey). Slow traffic on M25 anticlockwise from J13 / A30 (Staines) to J12 / M3. Slow traffic on M40 Northbound from A40 (Denham Roundabout) to J1a / M25. Slow traffic on M25 anticlockwise at J24 A111 Stagg Hill (Potters Bar). Heavy traffic on M25 anticlockwise between J26 A121 (Waltham Abbey) and J25 / A10 (Enfield). Delays on M25 anticlockwise between J27 M11 J6 and J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield).
