Daily Ocean News Bulletin – 22nd January 2024

Road – A14 no issues to report. A143 Compiegne Way both ways closed due to flooding between The A134 and Hollow Road. Slow traffic on A421 Great Barford Bypass Eastbound before A1 (Black Cat Roundabout). Slow traffic on A12 Southbound at J26 A1124 Essex Yeomanry Way (Eight Ash Green / Tollgate interchange), in the roadworks area. Queueing traffic on A130 Northbound at A12 Chelmsford Bypass. Slow traffic on A127 Southend Arterial Road Westbound before A1245 (Fairglen Interchange). 

Port – Despite storm Isha the winds have subsided significantly, and the Port is fully operational along with the container depots, despite there being slight delays on inbound and outbound traffic. Further operational information can be found here.

Road – Delays on M271 Northbound at M27 J3. Slow traffic on A32 Fareham Road between Gosport and Fareham. Delays on M275 Southbound at A3 (Rudmore Roundabout).

Road – Severe delays, queueing traffic for seven miles and one lane closed due to accident, a lorry and a car involved on M25 anticlockwise at J28 A12 (Brentwood / Brook Street Roundabout). Delays on M25 anticlockwise at the Dartford Tunnels. One lane closed and queueing traffic due to broken down vehicle on M25 anticlockwise at J1a A206 (The Dartford Tunnel). Congestion to J2 A2 Darenth Interchange. Congestion to J30 A13 Lakeside, also long queues London bound on the A12 from Mountnessing, and A127 from Laindon. Slow traffic due to earlier accident on A2 London bound near A2260 Southfleet Road (Northfleet / Ebbsfleet Turn Off), all lanes have been re-opened. Traffic easing on M25 clockwise from J2 A2 (Darenth Interchange) to J3 M20 / A20 (Swanley Interchange). Slow traffic on M25 clockwise from J5 M26 / A21 (Sevenoaks) to J6 A22 (Godstone). No fuel available at the lorry pumps on M25 anticlockwise at Clacket Lane Services. Queueing traffic on A3 Northbound before M25 J10 (Wisley Interchange). Queueing traffic on M25 both ways at J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange). Congestion to J9 Leatherhead and J11 Chertsey. A3 queues from Cobham, and long northbound queues from Ripley Services, in the roadworks area. Usual congestion on M25 clockwise before J15 M4. Delays on M4 onto the elevated section Eastbound from J3 A312 (Hayes) to J2 A4 (Brentford). Earlier queue on the road on M40 Northbound from J1a M25 to J2 A355 (Beaconsfield). Heavy traffic on M25 anticlockwise from J17 A412 Denham Way (Maple Cross) to J16 M40. Queueing traffic on A41 Southbound at M25 J20. A1(M) both ways closed, severe delays due to accident from J1 M25 J23 (South Mimms) to J3 A414 North Orbital Road (St Albans / South Hatfield). Congestion to A1 Boreham Wood, southbound from queues from Welwyn Garden City. Slow traffic on A111 Southbound between M25 J24 / A1005 (Potters Bar) and Chalk Lane (Cockfosters Station). Queueing traffic on A10 Great Cambridge Road Southbound before M25 J25.  Slow traffic on A121 Woodridden Hill between A104 Epping New Road / B1393 / B172 (Wake Arms Roundabout) and M25 J26.
